John G. Wilson
Chief Development Officer

A native of St. Louis, John joined Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. as chief development officer in January, 2013.

He started his career in 1978 and for the first 16 years worked for three prominent St. Louis based contracting firms gathering a wealth of design-build construction experience and working his way up from project engineer to vice president. He then joined Clayco and was appointed president of the firm in 1998, a position he held until leaving to run his own business full-time.

Since 2007, John has utilized his more than 30 years of industry experience to help his customers better manage and grow their businesses. His knowledge in pre-construction, LEED, and the design-build construction process has afforded him opportunities to work for developers, capital providers, and building owners. He has provided a vast array of services to general contractors, subcontractors, and provided mentoring assistance to many firms in varying capacities.
John earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. In 2006 he passed the U.S. Green Building Council LEED Professional Accreditation exam and is a LEED AP.
Active in the community, John is involved in his church and children’s schools, along with several charitable organizations. He also sits on the Board of Trustees for Ursuline Academy.
