Community Aces® Challenge II
Embracing Community Spirit
At Isle of Capri Casinos, we believe in being good
neighbors. This means, in addition to donating funds and support services to
community groups, we also encourage our employees to be actively involved in
the communities in which we operate.
Our company founder, the late Bernard Goldstein, felt so
strongly about community spirit that we launched Community Aces®
, our charitable
giving and volunteer program, honoring his legacy.
Since our company was founded, we have donated millions of
dollars to charities, nonprofit organizations, education institutions, civic
groups and assistance programs. In 2013 our employees donated over 22,000
volunteer hours to organizations in the communities where we operate.
We have set records in fundraising for the United Way. And,
our employees have donated countless hours of time and money to such groups as:
Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. From bowl-a-thons to bike rides and
food drives, our charitable giving makes an impact.
In addition, our Sunshine Fund, a company-wide emergency
support program administered by the Greater Saint Louis Community Foundation,
continually raises funds to provide financial assistance to help employees who
are impacted by a disaster or hardship.
Dragon Boat Race
Employees from Isle of Capri Casino Hotel Lake Charles came together to paddle in the Chistus St. Patrick’s Foundation dragon boat race to benefit Children’s Miracle Network.
Habitat for Humanity
Community Aces® loves to build for a cause with Habitat for Humanity. Most recently employees from Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf gathered to construct a home in Iowa.
Our four-legged friends need assistance too. Community Aces® from Lady Luck Casino Caruthersville walked and ran in a 5K to benefit the Humane Society.
March of Dimes
Walking for a cause is one activity where Community Aces® gather. Community Aces from Isle of Capri Casino Hotel Lula have been making steps for the March of Dimes.
